Tasmanian Women in Agriculture Gathering in the Tamar Valley

​The Tasmanian Women in Agriculture (TWiA) are holding their 30th Anniversary Gathering in the Tamar Valley on 24-26 May 2024.

Commencing on Friday evening at the Exeter Community Hub is a Panel Discussion ​featuring founding members Joan Field, Jan Richardson and Maureen Holland, chaired by TWiA Deb Morice.  Catch up with friends and meet the delegates of the Papua New Guinea farming women's group.

Saturday commences with three farm tours, each visiting three different locations in the Tamar Valley.  

Saturday evening dinner will be held at Glendale Vineyard Orchard Shed in Sidmouth.  This Celebratory Gathering Dinner will feature produce of the Tamar Vally and guest speaker is Ruth Nettle, who leads the Rural Innovation Research Grop at the University of Melbourne.

Sunday brunch will be held at Exeter Community Hub and will feature Olympia Yarger who is an insect farming pioneer and Dr Bianca Das who is a lecturer in soil science at the Tasmanian Institute of Agriculture.​
