Previously, a young sheep was no longer able to be sold as lamb once an adult incisor tooth was visible in its lower jaw
Under the new definition, the adult incisors are allowed to have broken through the animal's gums, but must not be 'in wear' or use
The change means slightly older animals might be classified as lambs, giving producers up to an extra month to finish the animals before they are considered to be hogget, which is cheaper
