Tea farmers reveal the key to a perfect brew — and how they grow their award-winning product

If you have ever had a bad experience with bitter green tea, the blame may lie in the way it has been brewed.

 

An award-winning tea maker wants people to know that simple mistakes in timing and temperature can ruin the taste of tea, particularly of the green leaf variety.

"I think a lot of people have had a pretty bad introduction to green tea," Arakai Estate's Brendon Collins said.

"A lot of that was just due to not knowing how to make it and probably not knowing what a good green tea is.
