The Rural Support Network Tasmania (RSNT) links the various organisations providing health, finance and farming information and assistance to rural and regional communities across the State.

Tasmanian Drought Evaluation Report (2011)

The Tasmanian Drought Evaluation Project evaluated a range of government initiatives that were used to assist drought affected communities in Tasmania. It provides recommendations for the design and implementation of future government and non-government support initiatives.

'Hope for Life' - the Salvation Army suicide prevention program

The Salvation Army Hope for Life' program highlights that suicide prevention is everybody's business. The program has a national HopeLine (1300 467 354 or 1300 HOPE LINE).

Mental Health Services (DHHS)

Tasmania's Mental Health Services provide a range of community and in-patient services for individuals with a mental illness and their families.

National Rural Health Students' Network

The National Rural Health Students' Network (NRHSN) represents 29 Rural Health Clubs with over 8,000 members located at universities throughout Australia. The NRHSN is a multidisciplinary network representing medical, nursing and allied health students aiming to increase the health workforce and health outcomes for rural and remote Australians.

Patient Travel Assistance Scheme (DHHS)

The Patient Travel Assistance Scheme (PTAS) provides financial assistance with travel and/or accommodation costs to Tasmanian residents who need to travel: more than 50 kms (one way) to the nearest oncology or dialysis treatment centre; or more than 75 kms (one way) to the nearest appropriate specialist medical service; or more than 75 kms (one way) to access lymphoedema treatment.

Proactive Agricultural Safety and Support Inc (PASS)

Proactive Agricultural Safety and Support Inc. (PASS) is a not for profit, grass roots organisation concerned about safety in the rural workplace. PASS aims to eliminate fatalities and reduce injuries in rural workplaces.

Rural Alive and Well Inc (RAW)

Rural Alive and Well Inc (RAW) is a not for profit organisation delivering suicide prevention and community wellbeing services to Tasmanian rural communities. It also provides counselling services to the forestry industry.

St John Ambulance

St John Ambulance Australia is a self-funding charitable organisation active in all States and Territories, dedicated to helping people in sickness, distress, suffering or danger.
