Future Industry Leaders program - May to August 2017

The Tasmanian Farmers and Grazier’s Association (TFGA) has launched an exciting new training initiative for Tasmania’s primary industries - Future Industry Leaders – growing people.

The Future Industry Leaders Program has been developed to build the people management and communication capability within Tasmania’s agricultural, forestry and seafood sectors.  Participants selected for the program will -

  • improve their self-awareness;

  • develop an understanding of the motivations and behaviours of others;

  • build the ability to communicate and network effectively; and

  • be shown how to work in ways that will inspire and engage others.

The program will run over seven days, between May and August 2017, and will be centrally located in the Launceston region to enable people from across the State to participate.  The cost of the program is $400 per person (excl GST), which includes all training course materials and catering but not travel, accommodation or breakfast.  The cost has been subsidised considerably by the State Government through its Cultivating Prosperity in Agriculture initiative.

This new leadership program is for people in positions of influence, but is equally relevant for aspiring leaders of the future.  A group of participants will be selected with a broad range of training, experience, abilitiy, gender, location and industry.

For more information about the program, what is involved and how to apply - please contact Leanne Sherriff, the program coordinator, on 0429 329 349, or by email - lsherriff@macfrank.com.au

Applications are now open and close on Tuesday 14 March 2017.
