Tasmanian Agricultural Productivity Group

The Tasmanian Agricultural Productivity Group (TAPG) brings together primary producers, the agricultural manufacturing sector, agribusiness (services to agriculture) and Government.

Ag Institute Australia (AIA)

Membership of AIA is open to Agricultural Science graduates working in agriculture and the natural resource environment or related disciplines. Membership is also open to those with agricultural or related experience and who demonstrate equivalence to formal qualifications.

AUSVEG is the peak national industry body representing the interests of Australian vegetable and potato growers.

Churchill Fellowships

A Churchill Fellowship provides financial support to enable Australian citizens from all walks of life to travel overseas to undertake an analysis, study or investigation of a project or an issue that cannot readily be undertaken in Australia. The value of a Churchill Fellowship is around $25,000.

Cradle Coast property management land projects

The next round of this project is now underway with funding allocated for 50 property management plans in the Cradle Coast NRM region.

DairyTas

DairyTas is the Tasmanian service delivery arm of Dairy Australia. The aim is to identify, prioritise, promote, facilitate and leverage opportunities for research, development and extension activities in the Tasmanian dairy industry.

Future Farmers Network

This network is a national not-for-profit organisation that has been set up to encourage and support young people as they pursue and continue careers in agriculture and its related fields.

Grasslands Society

The Grassland Society of Southern Australia Inc. is the peak farmer organisation dedicated to the transfer of information and technology related to temperate grasslands. Formed in 1959, the Society has branches in South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria and southern New South Wales and welcomes new members with an interest in grassland farming.

National Farmers Federation

The National Farmers' Federation (NFF) is the peak industry body representing farmers and agricultural industries across Australia.

Natural Resource Management (NRM) in Tasmania

There are three NRM regional groups in Tasmania, each working with farmers and others to address their natural resource management needs and concerns. This link is to the site for NRM North, which also provides links to Cradle Coast NRM and NRM South.

Proactive Agricultural Safety and Support Inc (PASS)

Proactive Agricultural Safety and Support Inc. (PASS) is a not for profit, grass roots organisation concerned about safety in the rural workplace. PASS aims to eliminate fatalities and reduce injuries in rural workplaces.

Tasmanian Farmers & Graziers Association (TFGA)

The Tasmanian Farmers & Graziers Association (TFGA) is the peak body representing the interests of Tasmanian farmers and has about 5,000 members.
